Chitosan, Postbiotic
Care gel that can be used to ensure skin integrity in all kinds of skin damage and to provide controlled rapid healing.
INTENDED USE
In damaged and injured skin;
Skin microbiota is regulated with postbiotics. By forming a film layer on the skin with chitosan, skin integrity is ensured, helping to quickly eliminate sensitivity and redness.
If we examine chitosan a little more, we can better understand how it produces these effects.
Chitosan, is obtained from the deacetylation of Chitin.
Chitin is found in many places in nature. Chitin is found in the cell wall of fungi, in the shells of crustaceans (such as oysters, crabs, lobsters, shrimps) and in the exoskeleton structure of arthropods. The benefits of chitin in industrial and medical fields have been shown in various studies. It contains amino acids, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5 and B12, marine minerals and trace elements (potassium, phosphorus, sodium, zinc, calcium, magnesium, iron).
Chitosan;
- It is reported to be a very suitable biomaterial in connective tissue repair due to its similarity to glycosaminoglycans found in the matrix content of tissues (6,24-26).
- It is also reported to stimulate growth factors (26).
- It has been shown to increase wound epithelialization and accelerate nerve and blood vessel regeneration in the dermis, and therefore can be used as a covering material in the treatment of burns and significant skin damage (16,27,28).
- Accelerates connective tissue formation by increasing cell proliferation (25, 29).
- Accelerates the number of cells and the increase in the number of layers in the tissue (2,30,31).
In in-vivo studies, it has been reported that chitosan causes a numerical increase in skin fibroblasts and reduces keloid formation (32)
USAGE TYPE
It is applied on damaged skin on any part of the body where skin integrity is impaired. It can be used 2-3 times a day. After 15 minutes, it forms a film layer in the applied area.
Important notice:
After the product is applied, gauze or similar material should not be placed on it.
